Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Bob R — 08 Nov 2016
If I had to describe this movie in one word it would be: suspense. I was sitting on the edge of my seat for 80 percent of the movie. When the main characters were coming into the blind man's house, you knew things were going to get really bad for them. Scot Lang was someone you really don't want to mess with. Unfortunately, the main characters did just that. The blind man is also developped really well. He has a nice backstory and his character starts to get more and more dark every minute the movie is on. Jane Levy and Dyllan Milette played their characters really well too. We knew the characters were probably not getting out of the situation without a problem, but you still believed why they made their decisions. They are written in a way that every action they do are the best things to do in that situation. The main problem of this movie is its multiple endings. In most situations this isn't a really bad thing. However in this movie I could 6 times where I thought the movie was over but it really wasn't. If the movie was a little longer maybe I wouldn't have felt it that annoying, but it was just 88 minutes long. The real ending however was done really well and it wrapped up the story strongly.
This movie is a real thrill ride, you should check it out.
