Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by John Ross D — 02 Jan 2017
Don't Breathe sends the audience in the brink of thier seats while sqeezing out drastic tension scene by scence. Director Alvarez [Evil Dead 2013] knows how to throw punches with diverse horror gimmicks that surely will be remembered after you left the theater. The use of gleeful twist-and-turns are so thrilling and tight it's unnerving to watch it without holding a grip of your breath. Meanwhile it has some certain flaw regarding to the story but it never hindered the effectiveness of it.
Don't Breathe climbs up its way to be a worthy home invasion horror movie to be remembered for a long time. Could potentially become a modern-classic, because why not?
