Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Jeje W — 09 Feb 2017
Don't Breathe was disturbing and gross. It was also great. The acting was very, very good, the story was very, very good, and it was an absolute blast. However, the pacing was not as good as the other parts of this film because it takes a while for the movie to get interesting.
It took about forty minutes for the movie to get really tense and claustrophobic. Speaking of claustrophobia, the way this film is shot made you super uncomfortable knowing that this was a tiny house with all of the doors locked and no escape.
It made the movie a lot scarier because of that. The action was something I was not expecting to be good because, again, it's such a small setting. But I was blown away by it because the action was actually fantastic.
Don't Breathe was really great and I'm giving it an 8/10.
