Review of Don't Blink (2014) by Steve O — 29 Jun 2015
NOTHING is explained! First time screenwriter/director Oates creates plot holes so big he himself can't escape them. Is it lack of experience or overall laziness? Probably the latter, since the movie appeared to be shot and edited competently. Even Steven King, who's name is mentioned in the movie, knows better than to set up an impossible situation and then never try to explain it. Stories like The Langoliers and Under the Dome start out like this movie does, but unlike those stories this movie fails to deliver even the smallest payoff.
I've read several online reviews and I can't believe some people have actually watched this piece of crap movie more than once. It's like they expect the movie to end differently the second time.
If I invited you to watch a movie about ten people who are in a house and each one walks out one by one without saying anything until there's only one person left, and THAT'S IT ... Would you waste 90 minutes watching it? If your answer is YES then I still recommend you don't watch Don't Blink, because what I just wrote is a hundred times better.
