"Donnie Darko" is a stunning debut for Richard Kelly as writer and director. This is a representation of ambiguity and society which always occurs around us, a movie about in-between a future and a past of how to stop worrying about both.
Just watching it once would not give you a clear answer to its ambiguity but this movie makes you understand deeper of interpretation and perspective.
