Review of Donnie Brasco (1997) by Charlotta L — 10 Jul 2010
It's a true story about an undercover cop that infiltrates the mob. His mission is to get as close to the "top dogs" as possible. But he soon might find that living the lives of two entirely different people might be hrder then he thinks.
I thought it was brilliant. It's got something that the other gangster movies hasn't. Maybe it's the fact that it's pretty much based on a true story. Maybe it's the brilliant leading roles and supporting cast.
I mean here we have these very talented actors such as Johnny Depp and Al Pacino in the lead...with Paul Giamatti and Michael Madsen following them perfectly.
The cast plays so well together that it makes the movie better then it would have been with anyone else in it,.
It's very honest and well they've really done their re-search, all of them. I loved it.
