Review of Donnie Brasco (1997) by Jacob D — 24 Mar 2009
Slow, boring, tedious. The suspense is minimal when present, and the dramatic sequences are pathetic even with Depp at the helm. And Pacino's usual A+ performance cannot save this one from being anywhere above, or near average.
Surprisingly enough, the only good thing was the slight tension at the beginning which lasted a good twentysome minutes, that being Depp's character (Brasco) starting to infiltrate the Brooklyn mafia.
But, eh, that's about it.
