Review of Donnie Brasco (1997) by Maymay A — 03 Nov 2010
It was an effective film projecting the true-to-life story about the undertakings of an FBI agent against the Mafia. A motion picture not just about life and death. It's also about friendship and family, and everything that falls in between.
In my opinion, the actors raised the film to its peak. They were believable and convincing. Another thing I liked about this is that this time, Pacino isn't the Don as we got to know him in The Godfather Trilogy.
Still, he did his role pretty good. And of course Johnny Depp did great, too. The movie itself is realistic. There are certain points in life where you don't know what step to take, what decision to make.
And sometimes, you always lose something in making a choice.
