Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by Hannah S — 23 Nov 2008
Not remotely as risque as it wants you to believe by the title, this is a predictable thriller (not really enough gore or tension to be called a horror) of two distinct halves. It takes far too long to get going and when the act in the title finally happens, it's thrown away as a reasonably decent plot point to descend into stereotyped characters and storylines.
All but two of the main characters are horrifically unlikeable and none behave in such a manner as to want to root for them. There are two nasty deaths but sadly any tension is sucked from the moments, so obviously signposted are they.
