Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by Drew G — 15 Mar 2009
What begins as a less-funny episode of the British comedy series Mile High, quickly descends into a cross between Dead Calm and Very Bad Things, although it remains inferior to all three, and that's not saying much considering the quality of Mile High.
Yes, the titular act is the inflection point that throws a silly teen romp into a remarkably brutal version of 10 Little Indians on the high seas. A few decent thrills and some respectable performances by a cast of largely unknowns can't redeem this thriller that ultimately proves unable to differentiate between suspense and bad taste.
