Review of Don Juan DeMarco (1994) by Hoang-Mai H — 04 Nov 2007
Achingly romantic and actually really deep about love and the imagination. Sort of like K-Pax and movies like that (psychiatrist and psychiatric patient whose sanity is ambiguous) I really liked how it was ambiguous all the way through about the 'truth', as 'does it really matter?' it seems to say.
Also awesome seeing Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando and Faye Dunaway in something that is all at once light as well as cerebral. It's just a hell of a lot fun seeing these heavy weights having a good time telling a good story.
