The only real entertaining part of this film for me was the flashbacks of Don Juan's past. Some of the situations were funny in a melodramatic, doesn't-take-itself-so-seriously sort of way. Roger Ebert said that this is one of Brando's worst performances, and I would say I have to agree.

On screen he just looks like he is "phoning in" his performance instead of really caring about his character, the story, and the characters around him. Faye Dunaway is likable enough, it's just that her character has no substance and we don't really care to know more about her.

Johhny Depp does well enough in his role as well. He sure has the sensualness and eroticism down, doesn't he? Overall, Don Juan DeMarco suffers from a very lame script, uninteresting characters (besides Don Juan of course), terrible pacing, and an overall low-budget feel.

I must say, Bryan Adam's "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman" doesn't get old, however...
