Review of Don Juan DeMarco (1994) by Jeannette G — 14 Sep 2008
Charming and thought-provoking. It was great to see two older people getting frisky. And Johnny Depp... I'd sit in that restaurant forever waiting for him to return too! The scene with the judge at the end is breathtaking because Depp transforms himself into a mildly troubled, normal young man.
He underplays it brilliantly and it is devastating to see the character reduced to this terrible normalcy. Too bad that the horrible Bryan Adams song at the end undercuts the pleasure of the final scenes.
