A takeitorleaveit film, this is very "macho" in an Italian American way. I can't tell if this film is trying to be serious or is trying to parody other films. The cast is good with Julianne Moore being the polarising character opposite the sex hungry raven that Scarlett Johanssen is portrayed as.
Don't get me wrong, it was awesome seeing her like that (as a bloke fantasy point of view) however it was the subtle Freudian mother-love subtext that holds this movie together. A watch once and forget about it film.
