Review of Don Jon (2013) by Jay B — 07 Mar 2014

I started out likin this movie but it went south.

Joseph Gordon Levitt does a great job directing. and putting together a brilliant storyline.

DonJon is a bartender that cares about only a couple of things. his family, his church, his boys, his crib, his car, his girls, and his porn. throughout the movie Jon has a repetitive routine. Squeeze one out, gym, goes to church for confession eats over his moms and hangs out at the club with his boys to pick up chicks. Until he meets this Dime played by Scarlett Johansson and "Fellaz!!" she has the sexiest Jersey accent.

Anyway she makes Jon do things he's not used to like wait on sex, watching chick flicks, meeting the parents and taking business classes. this is where he meets Julianne Moore, she catches Jon in class watching porn on his phone. everything is all good until Scarlett catches Jon jacking off to porn, so she gets so disgusted she breaks up with Jon. I know what boogi b@#% right. So Jon falls into a rutt. His parents mad at him, his boys asking questions and and Julianne Moore becomes his friend. And this is where the movie goes south.... DonJon startz crushin on Julianne Moore #WaitWhat?!?...but overall its a good decent brilliant movie. the cast is cool.Tony Danza plays DonJon's shit talkin daddy, I would have picked anybody else besides Julianne Moore... EpicFail.. just a good movie that goes left.
