Review of Don Jon (2013) by Nick C — 28 Mar 2014
Joseph Gordon Levitt delivers his directorial debut with Don Jon a sometimes repetitive tale of an Italian American who believes in absolute fitness and is also comically addicted to porn, no matter how many woman he pulls he still gets drawn back to his laptop and his dirty videos even after he thinks he has found the right girl who doesn't like the idea of his little problem.
no doubt this is an impressive start as a director for Joseph Gordon levitt but it is rather slow at Times but makes up for it with its great performances and well written script and occasional humour and down right raunchyness.
I myself enjoyed this movie but found it has its flaws as Scarlett Johansson pretty much helps cover those up with her distractingly good looks and Julianne Moore's lost and alone heartbroken performance as a widow.
