Review of Don Jon (2013) by Jackson C — 20 Sep 2014
Great performance by Scarlett Johansson in this very different, but interesting film, which also happens to be JGL's debut as director. An interesting look into a man's belief, habits and the breaking of them.
The dialogues, buildup and scenes however are interesting, and JGL does show some artistic flair. However, I think the film lacks a true focus on the audience, the topic definitely is intriguing to man, but the artistic and film feels more catered towards woman that sometimes make the entire film feel offbeat.
The ending also feels a little too general and random.
