Review of Domino (1973) by Deb S — 16 Aug 2010
"I can live the nasty and not do time for it.".
This action thriller directed by Tony Scott has a style that won't work for everyone. It is shot in the present and past, and is interspersed with narration and subtitles. It is all driven through the strong character of Domino Harvey, brilliantly played by Keira Knightley. Domino rebelled from her high society family and modeling to become a bounty hunter for fun. It is loosely based on her life story.
To me, the starts and stops, narrations and subtitles seemed to fit in with the character of Domino...given her age, lifestyle, state of mind and sense of humour. Christopher Walken was very funny in this film.
