Review of Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist (2005) by Bryan F — 16 Feb 2010

Intelligent supernatural prequel to one of the most famous horror movies of all time, Dominion follows a troubled priest on sabbatical (Stellan Skarsgard) as he investigates a buried temple in the desert, and discovers that some evils are beyond mere men.

Deliberately paced movie may be too slow for some, and lack gore for others, but it treats it's subject matter intelligently and features a solid performance from Skarsgard. Some poorly done effects remain as a legacy of the film's troubled production.
