Review of Dominick and Eugene (1988) by Nick W — 30 Jun 2008
This film came out the same year that "Rain Man" won academy awards, and while Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise gave memorable performances in that movie, Tom Hulce and Ray Liotta gave, in my book, more believable, more emotional, and more sensitve performances as two brothers on their journey to deal with Dominick's (Hulce) mental deficiency.
As much as I like Dustin Hoffman, Hulce deserved the "Best Actor" Oscar that year.
