Review of Dom Hemingway (2013) by Ian G — 18 May 2014
I am sure that Jude Law picked Dom Hemmingway as a perfect opportunity to try and shake that gigalo, good looking stud image he possesses in many of his films with a profane and ugly portrayal of a wordy, and seemingly inept safecracker just being sent back into the world from 12 years in jail, hoping to secure the money's hes owed from his employers.
Alas that is all this film is and there isnt much meat to the story or even development/arc to show he has reformed or there will be a secondary stage for him other than returning to his life of crime.
Law allows for the right amount of relish in the meaty dialogue he is given to monologue with which seems to be the one highlight of the film and nothing much else.
