Review of Dom Hemingway (2013) by Patty W — 16 Sep 2014
Jude Law is brilliant as the lead and the character of Dom is very interesting and funny to watch. From the off you are involved in this gritty dark comedy drama of Dom being released from prison after a long time behind bars, trying to reclaim old debts, rekindle old family ties and find his place in the world. its great.
BUT...
The film starts off so well, funny, active, gritty but its like the writers got half way through and thought....right what now? it goes from being that funny gritty film to a dark depressing bucket of sadness.
All in all, its not a bad film. Jude Law is brilliant. But it just seems to lose its self half way through. Defo worth a watch.
