Review of Dolphin Tale (2011) by Ariel H — 13 May 2015
What could be worse than a movie about literally any sports team overcoming obvious obstacles? A movie with virtually the same plot except the generic sports team was replaced with a "boy" who looks like a 45 year old man with a 401K and a dolphin.
I have a deep hatred for those types of movies so it's no surprise I cringed, sighed and had to continuously stop myself from placing a noose around my neck. I'd rather have my period for an entire year or only watch Twilight for the rest of my life than ever see this movie again.
Honestly out of ever crazy amazing true story thing that has happened in real life they make a movie out of this. And while I have a big amount of love and respect for dolphins I would not rather see it made into a movie.
Thus is one of those stories that would have made a way better documentary (if it had been done right the first time!) One star for how awesome dolphins are.
