Review of Dolores Claiborne (1995) by Deadly V — 30 Nov 2008
One of my favourite movies. Watched it recently on Cinemax for the 3rd or 4th time and just loved the whole storyline. Jennifer Jason Leigh is one of my favourite actors because she just portrays the hurt soul so convincingly.
And Kathy Bates shines as the hard-working housekeeper, who knows the societal limits on her as a woman and lower class, but nonetheless strives to keep her head and family above water. Her love and defence of her daughter is heroic and inspirational.
A must-watch movie.
