Poignant, raw and dark thriller about a strong-willed mother named Dolores Claiborne who's accused of murdering a wealthy woman she's been working for a longtime. Until, the word gets out directly towards her daughter Selena.
Who works as a journalist in New York. Selena is an estranged, depressed woman who yearns to do a very important assignment for the paper. But, then she decides to fly back to Maine to witness what happened to her mother.
During the film Dolores tells her daughter about the bone-chilling events that Selena herself can't remember. Kathy Bates wonderfully awed the audience by her raw performance as fiery yet, prudent woman caught in a tragic mess.
Same goes to Jennifer Leigh.
