Review of Dogwood Tree (2010) by Thomas F — 28 Jun 2011
First love, long distance relationship, love won/love lost; this has it all. A truly simplistic film, but that is what makes it so marvelous. Yui Aragaki is adorable to watch on screen, and really hits it off with co-star Tôma Ikuta.
Mix in the brilliant chemistry with some gorgeous on-location shots (in Canada, Japan, and America) and surprisingly some hefty life questions, this would have to be one of the better feel-good love stories I have watched in quite a long while.
