Review of Dogville (2003) by Alex Geo — 18 Sep 2008
I guess from now on I have to use my english skills 'cause damned FB doesn't seem to comprehend finnish vowels... Well, Dogville is the first part of Trier's America-trilogy and very ambitious as trying to represent how all-american ideals rapidly turn into we-did-all-this-for-you-good -fascism.
As I now saw this for a second time, this didn't strike me so hard, but was very affective still. And yeah, climax of the film can be very satisfying for many, but I think it is also very banal.
