Review of Dogville (2003) by Leah H — 08 Jun 2008
I would dare say this is the best film to date from Lars von Trier and showcases Nicole Kidman at the zenith of her acting career. It constantly borders on the pretentious, but keeps in the clear and since the film rely so much in its cast it has to be said von Trier has managed to create an amazing ensemble.
This is a gut wrenching film, which asks some fundamental questions about humanity.
