Filmed entirely in a studio with a very simple set using a narrator to help describing the story. Grace who is on the run from what they called the gangsters arrived in a small deserted town named Dogville.

She made a deal with the folk so she have the place to hide, in return she has to do some works for them and this became more demanding for her. One of uniquely made movie, directed by a non American director.

You could followed his European style especially at the end of it. It's bring a bit heavy thought as well as an interesting storytelling.
