Review of Dogville (2003) by Bass 9 — 09 Sep 2009
There are movies that will always be an object of study in every single aspect and this one requires a study in every single frame. From the actors, the cinematography, the art direction and the sound, this movie is a masterpiece.
Probably an enduring experience and very uncanny because it shows the real nature of the human being. It's just poetic, and the movie grabs you, the best part is, for being so visceral and so experimental, it follows a very rigid structure.
It's a dark fairy tale, or a real one? You choose, either way, this movie is great.
