Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Sabra E — 10 Feb 2011
I could watch the characters in this film as a weekly tv show. Reminiscent of of Wes Anderson's family dysfunction and Miranda July's "You and me and Everyone We Know" in regards to a magnification of a small universe into the larger scrutiny of a sexualized anthill perpetually regressing out of boredom, Dogtooth is dark, zany, deals with the innocent violence of children and self-destructive adults.
Above that, it's surprisingly feasible.
