This movie is amazing for the simple fact that its so damn creepy and terrifying. It's not far from "Salo", having a similar take on fascism, just containing less shit eating. It's Utopian nightmare is one that every person has a nightmare of, but never thinks about it till they witness it, or in the case of the characters, experience it.
Being trapped in a isoalted location with any chance of escape is terrifying, but not knowing you're a prisoner of your own parents is more horrendous than anyone could possibly imagine, that's why Dogtooth's story is so effective and brilliant.
