Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Jaden N — 12 Feb 2011
One of the most interesting stories I've seen on film in a while. I had to keep reminding myself that the incest wasn't real, in order for me to be able to actually watch it. The ending was really unflattering and I thought it could have been better, but it was really an extraordinary movie overall.
It sort of reminded me of this generation's "Salo", but less gross and way funnier. Or a more creative version of "The Village", with way more jokes, sex, and incest.
