Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Jareth S — 20 Mar 2011
An excellent indie foreign film dark comedy/satire on parents going overboard while home schooling kids in a gated compound to keep outside influences from corrupting them. Of course, things don't work out like the parents had hoped...
This is not a movie for everyone and one scene in particular will upset cat lovers. It's sort of a more modern day take on ideas similar to ones in Shyamalan's The Village, but more involved with sexuality and the consequences of an outsider's influence on the family.
