Despair run amok? Should be a rollicking good time... This stark and dark "what if" indie-darling had enough in the way of originality and inventiveness to draw me in. However, the meandering story that never veers far from the one-note, however evocative, concept along with stiff acting and tired shock-value bouts of incest and such left me wanting more.
Where most folks found Dogtooth incendiary and shocking. I thought it was flat-out boring save some worthwhile vignettes.
