Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Bill B — 05 May 2011
I went into this film completely cold and was really blown away, so I'll be as vague as I can about the films' details.
A bare bones description would be that parents raise their three mid-teen children on their remote estate with no contact with the outside world, which leads to disastrous results as the world begins to encroach on them in varying forms.
The movie has some truly hilarious moments of dark humor, but also features some wince-inducing bits of violence and just generally uncomfortable interactions.
This is well worth a look, recommended.
