Are we really supposed to applaud this as an ingenious work of modernism simply because it's awkward and uncomfortable? Story is nowhere to be found in Dogtooth, and it used to be that story was a central part of ingenuity and a pivotal requirement for solid film craft.
I guess such is no longer the case...
