Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Pedro P — 13 Apr 2013
REVIEW: what the fuck. The message in this film is irony. This is exactly(sarcastic) what will happen when parents think their protecting their children from a scary and dangerous world when in fact their the most horrifying and unsafe people the children would ever meet... Oh and an Oscar nomination, this film is terrifying, just to think that their more then likely have been this sort of abuse and confidement to children in this world. Also similar to people lacking knowledge and being brainwashed(cough cough religion ;) ), this movie is beautifully shot and defianetly unique which more then likely wont be everyones cup of tea but must be respected for the originality and odd beauty this film offers.
SO HERES WHATS UP: Three young humans whose age and names are never revealed(if their even named which I belive not) are confined to a world their parents have invented in their home where their house is the only safe resort and their father is the only one capable of leaving because of his car to work. Throughout the film the three young humans(who in some scenes are taught to behave like dogs)are harshly punished, have incest relations, and continue to be brain washed.INTRO.
