Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Niloo R — 30 Mar 2014
A disturbing film with a chilling ending. it did a great job establishing its world and premise through visual means, and kept an appropriately minimalist cinematic style throughout. what I would have liked more was more development of the parents, or at least an understanding of why they've created this life for their children.
a little bit of context could have pushed this film even further, though as it stands it's still fascinating and terrifying.
