Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Ted W — 28 May 2014
There are so many layers to this film that, had I the time, I'd love to watch it at least twice more to catch the nuances. A story of a father who keeps the outside world away from his children and controls, down to word definitions, their world view and behaviors.
Not unlike a modern government (hint hint) the children believe that cats are the most dangerous animal and that a telephone is a salt shaker. Very open ended, chilling and humorous all at the same time.
