Review of Dogtooth (2009) by Henry M — 19 Jul 2015
"Dogtooth" is absolutely, unabashedly, balls to the wall bonkers, and that's a big part of its brilliance. Offering no explanation, excuse, or really much commentary about its protagonists at all, the film needs expert direction, storytelling, and performances to succeed, and everybody delivers with flying colors, resulting in one of the most original, powerful, and enjoyably weird films in recent memory.
