Review of Dogma (1999) by Erin C — 10 Feb 2010
Smith isn't in "full blown dumb" mode, but what might have started as a brave step forward for the director turns into child's play. His script is too interested in plotting, the characters spend the entire movie talking about exactly what's happening.
The redeeming parts are the jokes and comments Smith throws in (which are few), Dogma is a bad, bad, bad, bad science fiction flick with a good sense of humor and some good actors.
