Review of Dog Soldiers (2002) by Ernest K — 20 Aug 2008
Made by the same guys who did The Descent. This is a good British werewolves flick. Lots of battle action sequences and good quality acting from Sean Pertwee and Kevin McKidd as leaders of a bunch of squaddies on maneouvres in Scotland.
The film-makers deliberately avoided computer graphics for the special effects, instead using good old fashioned costumed actors and models for the werewolves. But they still work well. This is a good late night movie when there's nothing much else on telly.
