Review of Dog Soldiers (2002) by Samoa G — 13 Jun 2009
Surprisingly brilliant. What's often great about British films is the quick, realistic and witty dialogue, of which there is plenty in this movie. Every character, down the smallest role, evolves perfectly and has personality.
The actors, also, are exceptionally cast. The animals in this I thought were actually really well rendered. I did get scared in parts, but I reckon this movie is more of a psychological thriller than a gory horror.
It's also hilarious. The humour is subtle and used beautifully, never overshadowing the threat of the werewolves.
