Review of Dog Soldiers (2002) by Mark P — 14 Feb 2010
This is a low budget sleeper from Scotland that has gone from obscurity to cult classic. The plot is simple: a group of national guardsmen on a weekend training expedition find themselves fighting for survival against a pack of werewolves.
Fast paced, funny, scary and gorey, Dog Soldiers is well worth seeing. The only drawback some may have is understanding some of the thick Scottish accents. Otherwise, one of the better werewolf offerings to come around in a long time.
Highly recommended.
