This is the Al Pacino we know and love. Dog day afternoon is a thrilling and suspenseful heist with A+ performances from the entire cast. The characters portrayed are not as villainous as you might think, their chemistry with the hostages are rather tame.
You truly see Al Pacino's character Sonny nerves, will, and patience be tested in this movie. Overall the movie is slow to start and lengthy, so it's not a movie you would causally watch.
