My favorite aspect was that the "gay" aspect wasn't overly played up or treated too much like a freak show. that was just who pacino and sarandon were and the film presented pacino's motive for the operation as if it were any other heist's motives.
i'm still a little confused though as to why sonny made the deal regarding sal. did sal have a past that we didn't know about? great performances all the way around.
