Part heist movie, part social commentary, Dog Day Afternoon is a breathtaking movie. I was riveted the whole time by hall-of-fame performances, including perhaps Al Pacino's best. An excellent sociological snapshot of a city in despair and the people who inhabit it, this movie had me from start to finish.
Bravo, bravo, bravo.
