Review of Dog Day Afternoon (1975) by Eduardo T — 29 Dec 2011
A very entertaining dramatic thriller. Not to mention that it's also a true story. Al Pacino gave it his all. Adding personality and overall great acting. The plot was slow paced which adds suspense.
The whole time I never knew if they where going to make it. There's one problem I have with the film's description. I would not be calling Sonny a loser. Especially sense he had a crowd cheering him on.
Although two guys try to rob a bank they still had better morals and values then the cops. Which is one of the best part of the film that at the begging you are introduced to Sonny and Sal as the villains but at the end the villains end up being the cops.
Even Sal had better morals and values then the lady hostages. Which made me think if Sal got his punishment then wheres the ladies punishment. I have to say that I also really liked Al Pacino's hair.
I'm thinking of also getting my hair like his. If you like crime drama then watch this movie. I just have one more thing to say. "Attica! Attica!".
