Review of Dog Day Afternoon (1975) by Adam K — 18 Jul 2012
One of the best bank heist/hostage films ever made, hands down. its influences to this day have shown in films such as inside man, mad city, and john q. pacino is brilliant and john cazale follows. this was truly unique.
it took the motives of any hist film and flipped them around insanely. you never expect what develops and when it arrives, you can only smirk at its genius. from its opening shots to its final climax, you know you're watching and will have eventually seen a winner of a film.
